Bara Stelpur started with a glass of wine, a dream, and a question we kept asking ourselves: “Why is it so hard to find the right girls to travel with?” So we stopped waiting and built it ourselves — a space where women can say yes to adventure, even if their best friend can’t come along. We’re just like you: curious, fun-loving, always planning the next trip. We’ve wandered through hidden corners of the world, tested dreamy hotels, and handpicked the kind of experiences that make you go wow — from champagne sunsets to cooking with locals.

We opened Bara Stelpur because we believe the best trips aren’t just about the places — they’re about the women you share them with. And girl, when you bring 12 amazing women together? ✨ That’s when the magic happens.

Hi, I’m Maria — a wife, a mother, a corporate professional, and a graduate student with a Master’s degree in Business. My days are full, and I’m deeply grateful for the path I’ve taken. But underneath the structure of everyday life, I’ve always carried a quiet, persistent dream: to travel. That dream led me to work as a flight attendant, trying to get as close as possible to the freedom and wonder I longed for. Over the years, I’ve explored 37 countries — often solo, not because I wanted to be alone, but because it’s just so hard for women over 30 to find a travel companion. Our friends are having babies, buying homes, chasing careers… and yet, the dream of climbing Kilimanjaro, sipping Sauvignon Blanc in New Zealand, or doing sunrise yoga in Costa Rica never fades. Like so many women, I’m looking for more than just a vacation — I’m looking for connection, for adventure, for joy.

Travel, nature, and history are my lifelong passions!

I am a PhD candidate in History, teaching at the university level. My love for the outdoors began early in the majestic, snowy mountains, and today I try to instill this passion in my son.

In 2025, I completed my tour guiding diploma in Iceland and reached the summit of Mont Blanc. Over the years, I have trained in mountain guiding, glacier climbing, and advanced first aid, giving me a practical and safety-focused perspective on rugged terrain.

My journeys span more than 20 countries, ranging from spontaneous city adventures to demanding treks in remote mountains. These journeys have taught me to be adaptable, resilient, and deeply attentive to the stories that places carry.

My approach is simple: match curiosity with context. I see every path, historic site, or museum object as a doorway to thoughtful insights that bring depth and colour to the travel experience.

1. Who can join a Bara Stelpur trip?

Our tours are for women of all ages and backgrounds. The only requirement? An open heart, a sense of adventure, and a love for connection. 💖

2. Do I need to bring a friend, or can I come alone?

Most of our girls join solo! You’ll be matched with a roommate (unless you book your own room), and within the first champagne toast you’ll feel like you’ve known everyone forever. ✨

3. How many women are in each group?

We keep it intimate: max 12 women per trip. This way, it feels more like traveling with friends than being lost in a big group.

4. What’s included in the price?

Every tour is slightly different, but in general:

5. What if I don’t want the international flight package?

No problem! We also offer a “land-only” option where you can arrange your own flights and meet us at the destination.

6. Do I need travel insurance?

Yes — it’s required. It gives you peace of mind in case of flight changes, delays, or medical issues while abroad.

7. What if I have food allergies or dietary restrictions?

We do our best to accommodate dietary needs — just let us know in advance and we’ll plan accordingly. 🌱

8. What’s the age range of the women who travel with Bara Stelpur?

We welcome women from all walks of life. Most are between 25–50, but honestly — age is just a number when you’re sipping champagne on a beach together.

9. Can I book a private room?

Yes! By default, rooms are shared with another traveler, but single room upgrades are available for an extra fee.

10. What’s the vibe of the group like?

Think girlfriends on the ultimate holiday: supportive, fun, curious, and ready to laugh. We love adventure, but we also love a good spa day and sunset wine.
